STORY
In the land of sugar, butter and cream,what are the most popular end-of-meal treats? Pastries, sorbets, tarts, flans, fruits... it must be said that the French are spoiled for choice, especially since they are not chauvinistic on this subject by welcoming at their table some foreign specialtiescomplementary to the typically national desserts.
Among the many delicious recipes, 3 in particular will win over the gourmets:
1. Bronze medal for the chocolate mousse. Chocolate, with chocolate, and a little chocolate. Would you like some more chocolate?
2. Silver medal for the pancakes. With sugar, chocolate (definitely), jam or plain, it has the particularity to be different at each new tasting.
3. Gold medal for the chocolate fondant. Yes, how can you resist a chocolate fondant heart?

1. The floating island. Archimedes' favorite dessert is atypical because it allows you to... drink sweet cream (to which we simply added a rather bland tasting mousse to make a dessert).
2. The apple pie. A classic, especially among seniors, which lacks a bit of audacity but has the merit of bringing everyone together at the end of the meal.
3. Tiramisu. An Italian import whose popularity is undeniable, perhaps thanks to the combination of coffee and chocolate or thecreaminess of its mousse?
4. The crème brûlée. Notably made popular by the movie Amélie Poulain, it's hard to resist the pleasure of cracking the thin layer of caramelized sugar over a good vanilla cream.
5. The profiteroles.A subtle mix of flavors, textures and temperatures, these pastry cream filled chouquettes lovingly covered with melting hot chocolate deserve the 1st place as they are a treat for the eyes and the palate.
6. The strawberry pie. Mixing pastry and fruit? Why not, after all, the apple pie has masterfully opened the way and continues to make children with various fruit variations.
7. The strawberry tree. A few strawberries but mostly sponge cake and (a lot of) cream make up this dessert often served at weddings. Potentially disgusting on the second slice but the presentation always makes an impression.
