Latest Criminal Incidents Reported – Transylvania County, NC (2024)

The Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office reported the following felony arrests and incidents from Nov. 10 to Dec. 23.

Arrests

•James Porter Harris III, 28, was arrested for one count of probation violation on Dec. 18. He was placed in the county detention center under a $10,000 bond.

•Christy Michelle Owen, 42, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule II on Dec. 17. She was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Ari Damaris Williams, 43, was arrested for one count of failure to appear on Dec. 14. She was placed in the county detention center under a $15,000 bond.

•Tonya Loraine Worley, 57, was arrested for one count of trafficking opium or heroin on Dec. 14. She was placed in the county detention center under a $20,000 bond.

•Caryington Taevon Hunter, 20, was arrested for one count of trafficking in cocaine and one count of possession of a schedule I controlled substance on Dec. 12. He was placed in the county detention center under a $40,000 bond.

•Dennis Austin Whitmire, 22, was arrested for one count of speeding to elude arrest and one count of felony possession of marijuana on Dec. 13. He was placed in the county detention center under a $25,000 bond.

•William Ernest Mulenex, 37, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule II on Dec. 12. He was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Aaron Jerome Hemphill, 38, was arrested for one count of failure to appear on a felony on Dec. 5. He was placed in the county detention center under a $50,000 bond.

•Derek Cameron Arnold, 33, was arrested for one count of second degree kidnapping, one count of obstructing justice and one count of break/enter with intent to terrorize/injure on Dec. 5. He was placed in the county detention facility under a $100,000 bond.

•Jacob Morris Harris, 38, was arrested for three counts of statutory sex offense with child by adult on Dec. 5. He was placed in the county detention center under a $100,000 bond.

•Justin Eric Callaham, 30, was arrested for one count of failure to appear on Dec. 4. He was placed in the county detention center under a $40,000 bond.

•Angela Christine Robbs, 44, was arrested for one count of possession of methamphetamine on Dec. 4. She was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Diane Bradley Hold, 39, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule I on Dec. 4. She was placed in the county detention center under a $6,000 bond.

•Frank Hardy III, 56, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule II on Dec. 3. He was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Ivy Miranda Fisher, 43, was arrested for one count of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute methamphetamine on Dec. 3. She was placed in the county detention center under a $6,000 bond.

•Melanie Geneva Morgan, 32, was arrested for one count of possession of methamphetamine on Dec. 1. She was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Josiah Manuel De Jesus Sorenson Jr., 23, was arrested for one count of indecent liberties with child on Nov. 30. He was served with a warrant while in the detention center and received a $20,000 bond.

•Joseph Bennelee Frady Jr., 27, was arrested for one count of interfering with jail/prison fire system on Nov. 27. He was served with a warrant at the county detention center and received an $8,000 bond.

•Jeffrey Douglas Patterson Jr., 37, was arrested for one count of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a schedule I and one count of possession of a schedule I on Nov. 27. He was placed in the county detention center under a $50,000 bond.

•Albert Lee Shelton, 58, was arrested for one count of being a fugitive on Nov. 23. He was placed in the county detention center under a $20,000 bond.

•Calvin Manuel Rosado, 39, was arrested for one count of being a fugitive on Nov. 23. He was placed in the county detention center and was later confirmed for extradition to Dauphun County, Penn.

•Rachel Marie Mark, 29, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule II on Nov. 19. She was placed in the county detention center under a $6,000 bond.

•Sean Trevor Aiken, 31, was arrested for three counts of possession of a firearm by felon on Nov. 18. He was placed in the county detention center under a $10,000 bond.

•John Paul Shipley, 31, was arrested for one count of possession of a controlled substance on prison/jail premises on Nov. 18. He was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Jennifer Robinson Sanchez, 39, was arrested for one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle on Nov. 15. She was placed in the county detention center under a $8,000 bond.

•Jordan Hampton Leigh, 31, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule II on Nov. 15. He was placed in the county detention center under a $5,000 bond.

•Dean Alan Ashenfelder Jr., 30, was arrested for one count of aiding and abetting larceny on Nov. 12. He was placed in the county detention center under a $500 bond.

•Timothy Lee Hernandez, 41, was arrested for one count of fleeing to elude, one count of hit and run and one count of failure to appear on a felony on Nov. 10. He was placed in the county detention center under a $51,000 bond.

Incidents

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle on Moon Circle on Dec. 19. The victim reported two pool cues stolen from the car.

•There was a report of breaking and entering on Rosman highway on Dec. 18. The victim reported a bicycle stolen from a storage shed.

•There was a report of identity theft in Brevard on Dec. 18.

•There was a report of theft from building on Mid Daisy’s Circle in Rosman on Dec. 15. The victim reported a shotgun and two rifles stolen from the residence.

•There was a report of false pretenses/swindle/confidence on Cajun Lane on Dec. 14.

•There was a report of felony fleeing to elude, felony possession of a schedule VI and possession of marijuana paraphernalia on Hannah Ford Road on Dec. 13.

•There was a report of larceny and burglary/breaking and entering on Everett Road in Pisgah Forest on Dec. 5.

•There was a report of identity theft on Allison Hill Drive on Dec. 3.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering and insubstantial damage or other minor damage on Kristie Lane in Pisgah Forest on Dec. 1.

•There was a report of obtaining property by false pretense on Ashe Road in Rosman on Dec. 1.

•There was a report of manufacturing marijuana and possession of marijuana on Waldsi Court Nov. 30

•There was a report of false pretenses/ swindle/confidence game on Azalea Avenue in Brevard on Nov. 30.

•There was a report of Larceny on Laura Brooke Drive in Penrose on Nov. 30

•There was a report of theft from building on Reid Farms Trail in Lake Toxaway on Nov. 29.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering on Jeter Mountain Road in Penrose on Nov. 29. The victim reported over a dozen several power tools stolen from the residence.

•There was a report of motor vehicle theft and theft from motor vehicle on Whitewater Road in Sapphire on Nov. 29. The victim reported a Ford F250 stolen along with a firearm and other various items.

•There was a report of recovered stolen property on Whitewater Road in Sapphire on Nov. 29.

•There was a report of false pretenses/swindle/ confidence game on Kelly Lane in Pisgah Forest on Nov 28.

•There was a report of Burglary/breaking and entering and motor vehicle theft on Sapphire Road in Sapphire on Nov. 27. The victim reported a Ford F450 and two chainsaws stolen from the residence.

•There was a report of larceny on Whitmire Road on Nov. 23. The victim reported one sheep being stolen worth $2,200.

•There was a report of larceny on Hannah Ford Road on Nov. 20. The victim reported $3,000 worth of hay being stolen.

•There was a report of false pretense/swindle/ confidence game on Nov. 18. The victim reported being scammed out of $3,550.

•There was a report of false pretense/swindle/ confidence fame on Carl Norris Road on Nov. 17. The victim reported being scammed out of $900.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle in Lake Toxaway on Nov. 16. The victim reported three rings worth thousands of dollars stolen.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle near the Looking Glass parking area in Pisgah Forest on Nov. 12. The victims reported several items stolen from the vehicle including cash, a phone, car keys, glasses, prescription pills and bags.

•There was a report of all other larceny and destruction/damage/vandalism of property on Wild Hog Creek in Rosman on Nov. 12.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering and destruction/damage/vandalism of property on One Bluff Lane in Lake Toxaway on Nov. 12. The victim reported three firearms stolen from the residence, as well as damage to a door and locks during the burglary.

There was a report of false pretenses/swindle/confidence game on Mallard Court on Nov. 11.
