Felony Arrests Reported (2024)

The Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office reported the following felony arrests and incidents between July 23 and Sept. 3.

Arrests

•Timothy Eric Nesbitt, 60, was arrested for littering over 500 pounds, a felony, on Aug. 28.

He was placed in the county detention center under a $500 bond.

•David Austin Elrod, 22, was arrested for one count of felonious restraint on Aug.19. He was in custody at the county detention center at the time he was served his warrant.

•Tracy Ann Jenkins, 37, was arrested for one count of possession of a schedule II controlled substance and one count of breaking and entering a motor vehicle on Aug. 17.

She was placed in the county detention center under a $6,000 bond.

•Cole Iceman Lee, 36, was arrested for one count of burning building under construction on Aug. 17. He was placed in the county detention center under a $10,000 bond.

•Amanda Michele Jackson, 43, was arrested for one count of failure to appear on Aug. 12.

She was placed in the county detention center under a $20,000 bond.

Isaac James Landreth, 41, was arrested for one count of breaking and entering and two counts of larceny of firearm on Aug. 11. He was placed in the county detention center under a $15,000 bond.

•Jordan Hampton Leigh, 32, was arrested for one count of failure to appear on Aug. 10.

He was placed in the county detention center under a $50,000 bond.

•Bruce Julian Allen Jr., 36, was arrested for one count of failure to register current address as a sex offender on Aug. 5.

He was placed in the county detention center under a $20,000 bond.

•Lonny Mac Hogsed, 43, was arrested for one count of probation violation on Aug. 4.

He was placed in the county detention center under a $10,500 bond.

•Christopher Michael Cooke, 43, was arrested for one count of intimidation on Aug. 3. He was placed in the detention center under a $20,000 bond.

•Kayla Nichole Gilbert, 32, was arrested for one count of failure to appear on Aug. 2.

She was placed in the county detention center under a $4,000 bond.

•Nathan Lee Queen, 38, was arrested f0r one count of probation violation on July 26. He was placed in the county detention center under a $10,000 bond.

Incidents

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering and destruction/ damage/vandalism of property East Fork Road in on Aug. 30.

The victim reported someone had broken into their home and stole jewelry, tools and other household items.

•There was a report of counterfeiting/forgery at the Self Help Credit Union in Rosman on Aug. 23.

•There was a report of larceny shoplifting on Ecusta Road on Aug. 11. The incident report states that a suspect stole 25 spools of wire from Lowes Home Improvement store.

•There was a report of burglary, breaking and entering and assault on a female on Wilson Road in Pisgah Forest on Aug. 18.

•There was a report of false pretenses/swindle /confidence game on Ugugu Drive on Aug. 11.

•There was a report of breaking and entering on Church Street Extension in Rosman on Aug. 11.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering and larceny on Shoal Creek Road in Balsam Grove on Aug. 10.

•There was a report of destruction/damage/vandalism of property on Green Road Bridge on Aug. 5. The victim reported their vehicle was vandalized.

•There was a report of credit card/ATM theft and identity theft on Forest Hill Circle on Aug. 5.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle on Hudlin Gap Road in Pisgah Forest on Aug. 2.

The victim reported a laptop stolen from their vehicle.

•There was a report of motor vehicle theft on Oakdale Road on Aug. 2. The victim reported a camper stolen from their residence.

•There was a report of theft from building on Indian Lake Road in lake Toxaway on July 27.

The victim reported furniture stolen from their residence.

•There was a report of larceny on East Fork Road on July 30. The victim reported a bag with camera equipment and various fly fishing equipment stolen.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering on Frozen Creek Road on July 29.

The victim reported someone entered into their barn and turned their livestock loose.

•There was a report of robbery on Old N.C. 280 in on July 25. The victim reported being robbed at knifepoint of $200 cash and various narcotics.
