Super Bowl Party Ideas on How to Throw the Best Superbowl Party Ever:
- Fun Football Grab Bags– Brown paper bags with a little paint make snacking fun.
- DIY Football Banner–Don’t buy it, make it from items you have like craft paper, twine and chalk.
- X + O Table Runner– This football-themed runner is made with brown craft paper + marker scribbles.
- Benchwarmer Brownies– No time to make brownies from scratch? Pick some yummies up from the Walmart Grocery Pick up and give them some finishing touches.
- Chalk it Up– Simple mini chalkboard signs were perfect for our football playoff party set up.
- Solo Cup Fix Up– A little washi tape spruces up boring plastic cups.
Even More Ways to Make Your Superbowl Party Great:
- Ask everyone that is coming to your party to bring an item. Make it mandatory. Being a nice host is one thing, but your guests can pitch in, too. Make it simple and give everyone a small item (1 bag of chips, 1 bag of ice, 1 of something.).
- Or, go all out and make it a contest. Have everyone bring a dish and the crowd gets to vote for the MVP of the party. Give the winner a prize like an inexpensive item from your favorite team (coozie, pom pom, etc.)
- Create your own vegetable, meat and cheese trays. Seriously. It can be done cheaper than the pre-fab versions. Just stick to the basics.
- Supplement your snacks and recipes with popcorn. Everyone loves popcorn and it is a cost-effective addition to any party.
- Don’t buy serving platters. Use a mix and match combination of your current platters and plates.
- Live, breathe and die by BYOB. Seriously, let everyone bring their own alcohol.
- If you want to do something, make an inexpensive punch with fruit juice and carbonated soft drink. (One of my favorite easy combinations is a kid’s fruit punch + lemon lime soda.)
- After you invite, ask a guest to bring ice, another to bring solo cups, another to bring a mixer, etc.
- Take advantage of Kroger deals on canned soft drinks and frozen juice. This is a better way to stretch your entertaining budget.
- Serve chilled bottled water (bargain brand) or filtered tap water to supplement your drinks. This also helps guests from over-indulging in adult beverages. Be Safe this Super Bowl Sunday.
- Instead of trying to use team colors for EVERYTHING, stick with neutral items you already own.. You can create a football theme with many items you already own. Think burlap, brown craft paper, even the sports section of your local paper are fair game when it comes to festive decorations on a budget.
- Balloons make any game day party more festive and colorful. Plus they are a pretty inexpensive way to pump up team spirit. (Bonus tip: tape them to the ceiling and save on the expensive helium.)

Thank you so much! The Carolina Mustard wings are my personal favorites. I am going to make them this weekend, and toss half in the mustard sauce and the other half in an Asian sauce. Can't wait. Let me know if you try them, I'd love your feedback.

Oh I knew exactly what you meant, Ellen. Your Packers had a tough break this season with the injury to Rodgers. No worries, they will be back. I'm just excited that my Titans are still in it (as of this moment). Maybe we can pull out the big upset over the Patriots this weekend.
Hope you enjoy these recipes. I've got more to add this week.
