Learn about the seven basic types of sentences in Spanish:

1. Statements & declarations (oraciones enunciativas)

These are sentences that simply declare, inform about something both in an affirmative or negative way.

2. Questions & Interrogatives (oraciones interrogativas)

These are sentences that are asking something and an answer from the listener is expected.

3. Commands, Orders,Imperatives, Directives (oraciones imperativas)

These are sentences that express an order, a command, a request.

4. Exclamations (oraciones exclamativas)

These are sentences that express a feeling, for example, being sad, happy, surprised, etc

5. Doubts (oraciones dubitativas)

These are sentences that express doubt or probability.

6. Wish (oraciones desiderativas)

These are sentences that express a wish.

7. Hypotheticals (conditional & subjunctive) (oraciones condicionales)

These are sentences that express a condition.
