Find the signature settings in the Outlook mobile app
How to add an image to Outlook on iPhone and Android
IMPORTANT: On Android, you can’t add an image but you CAN on iPhone iOS. That’s because Outlook for iOS supports HTML, while Outlook for Android does not. This means that iOS allows you to add a signature with rich features that include images, icons, and buttons, while Android allows only a text basic structure and adding links.
If you’re an Android user the process we covered above will get you a simple text signature with links.
If you’re an Apple iPhone iOS user we’ll show you how to create a beautiful rich signature that you can use for your mobile and your desktop.
This is where our instructions split up for Android and iOS users:
Tap “Add link” from the options popup > and add in your link address
Select and copy the entire signature
Tap your account image in the top left corner
Tap the gear icon at the bottom left to open Outlook settings
Tap Signature to open the signature settings
Paste your signature into your signature text field.
If you’re looking to get a richer signature, complete with images, buttons, social media links, and so on; you can only do that with the desktop and web browser versions of Outlook.
The good news is that we can help you create a beautiful Outlook signature for your Outlook desktop or Outlook 365 web app. Click the links to see the respective guides.
To make your mobile email signature the same as your desktop signature you’ll need to first create a signature in HTML. After you do this come back and complete the simple steps below.
Note: Making your Outlook signature the same as your desktop is NOT possible with the Android app, because it does not support HTML.
Outlook iPhone mobile app signature with image in HTML
Unfortunately, you can't make your Android Outlook signature the same as the desktop version, as the smartphone version does not support HTML. However, for iPhone and iPad users, that process is relatively simple.
Go to 'File' -> 'Options' -> 'Mail' -> 'Signatures'. Under 'Choose default signature', make sure the correct signature is selected for 'Replies/forwards'.
Based on your description, I know your requirement. In fact, it is possible to sync the signature you created on Outlook for the web with the Outlook mobile app. To do this, you need to ensure that your email account is added to both Outlook for the web and the Outlook mobile app.
Start up your Outlook mobile app on Android or iOS. Tap your account image in the top left corner. Tap the gear icon at the bottom left to open Outlook settings. Tap Signature to open the signature settings.
The best way to add a signature in the Outlook mobile app on your Android device is with a text signature: Open the Outlook app and go to the Outlook icon. Tap on your account and then tap Signature. Enter the text and links you want to use as your signature and tap Done.
When the signature arrives in the recipient's email client, and is read by the recipient, it should look as it's intended to look* because that recipient is in "reading mode". But as soon as that recipient hits reply to your email, the recipient's email client has just shifted into "composing mode".
If you've already created a signature in Outlook.com on your computer, phone, or tablet, you can easily copy it from the web and insert it into the Outlook mobile app. This is the only way to sync your Outlook signature to the mobile Outlook app.
You can customize the email signature that appears automatically at the bottom of every email you send. Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Signature (below Composing). Tap the text field, then edit your signature. You can only use text in your Mail signatures.
Here's how: Access your Office 365 account settings. Navigate to the signature syncing options. Choose the devices you want to sync your signature with, such as desktop, mobile, or webmail clients.
You can sync your Outlook data with mobile devices and with other applications. Outlook also syncs regularly with Microsoft Exchange account accounts and e-mail accounts.
