What is a Teriyaki?

Teriyaki refers to two different things. The first is the style of cooking used to make dishes such as Teriyaki Chicken, Teriyaki Salmon, and Teriyaki Tofu.

The second is the sauce that is used to glaze the chicken, salmon, or tofu. In short, it’s either referring to the dish itself, or the sauce used to glaze the protein with.

Teri, in Japanese, means ‘luster’ while yaki means ‘to grill, pan-fry or cook’. In this way, Teriyaki means a dish that is glossy and pan-fried, exactly how Glaze Teriyaki is supposed to be!

What Does Teriyaki Glaze Taste Like?

Teriyaki sauce has a sweet and tangy flavor and is supposed to be sticky! In this way, it perfectly coats the chicken or any other protein and has a beautiful sheen to it.

You’ll also notice an incredible umami flavor to authentic Teriyaki Glaze, due to the simple soy sauce base.

It’s a great sauce to use for any of the protein on the menu tonight, and the flavor goes well with just about everything.

That’s honestly my favorite part about this glaze. It’s a great teriyaki glaze for all palates. Trust me, you’re about to fall in love with this one!

If you've been following me for a while you know that I am a big fan of the idea of all things (or as much as possible) homemade.

This tasty glaze is prepared in a much cleaner way, without additional chemicals, and tastes fresh and delicious.

As with most organics and homemade items, it is always best to use it as soon as possible, right? Why let something so tasty sit around and spoil? That's only natural. As they say, 'If bacteria won't eat it, why should you?'

This teriyaki glaze is so easy to prepare and makes any meat of your choice delicious, zesty, so tender, and tasty that you would not believe it.

The glaze is aromatic, sharp but sweet, incredibly smooth, and best of all - simple.
