Frequently Asked Questions

  1. You can withdraw as much money as you agree with your own bank (the card limit). The dispensing drawer of the ATM can process a maximum number of banknotes at the same time. If you want to withdraw more than this number, you can do so in several transactions.

  2. Cash withdrawals are free when using a card from a country in the European Economic Area*. If you use a card from a country outside the EEA, you pay a surcharge of 4 euros per transaction. This charge is in addition to any fees that may be assessed by your card-issuing financial institution.

  1. Your bank determines whether you can use the bill deposit option at our ATMs and the maximum amount you can deposit. Please consult your bank for more information.

  2. Your bank sets the maximum amount you can deposit. The maximum number of banknotes a machine can handle is 200. If you want to deposit more than 200 banknotes, you must make more than one deposit. Visit your bank’s website for information about the maximum amount of money you can deposit.

  3. Your deposit is credited immediately. However, this can be delayed due to a malfunction at Geldmaat or at your bank. The amount will be credited automatically as soon as the malfunction is resolved.

    The deposit can also be delayedif there is any doubt about the authenticity of the notes. Please contact your bank if you have any questions about counterfeit banknotes.
