Easy Christmas Trash Cookies

Christmas Trash Cookies will quickly become a favorite in your house. They are soft, thick, and somewhat crunchy thanks to the potato chips and pretzels in the mix. What I also love about them is how easily they are made. You mix together the ingredients and then bake them for about 8 minutes.

Similarly, they can be very versatile. The name trash cookies come from basically trashing your kitchen ingredients together. So you can use leftover pretzels, chips, pieces of chocolate, and mix them up before cooking. In this recipe, I used Rolos with some potato chips, M&M’s and pretzels, but you can use chocolate chips, Oreos, or even Cheetos.

They are perfect to make for holidays with kids. They love to decorate and eat them!

Recipe Tips:

  • It’s best to let the cookies cool in the baking pan after you remove them from the oven. Since the cookies are very soft, it’s best to let them rest a bit, so they will harden once they cool.
  • You can add chocolate chips to the mix, Skittles, or Reese’s if you desire.
  • Make sure all the ingredients are of room temperature, especially the butter.
  • Also, you could cut them in various forms, such as stars, or square.
